NAPA SAINTS
PARENTS’ CODE OF CONDUCT
I HEREBY PLEDGE TO:
1) Provide positive support, care and encouragement for my child participating in youth sports.
2) Encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches and officials at every game, practice or other youth sport events.
3) Place the emotional and physical well being of my child ahead of any personal desire to win.
4) Insist that my child play in a safe and healthy environment.
5) Provide support for coaches and officials working with my child to provide a positive and enjoyable experience for all.
6) Demand a drug, alcohol and tobacco-free sports environment for my child and agree to assist by refraining from their use at all youth sport events (including practices and games).
7) Remember that the game is for the children and not the adults, and make youth sports fun for my child.
9) Insist that my child treat other players, coaches, fans and officials with respect regardless of race, sex, creed or ability.
10) Help by assisting coaches, being a respectful fan, or whatever I am capable of doing.
12) Refrain from using abusive and profane language at all time.
13) Refrain from criticizing participants or coaches except for in a private meeting with the coach.
14) Refrain from approaching a coach during games or practice.
15) Not appear on the game field except if I am working on the chain gang or minimum play. When my minimum play is complete I will return to the stands.
16) Accept decisions of the game officials on the field as being fair and called to the best ability of said official. I will not yell at the officials.
17) Understand that any persons on the coaching staff or the Saints’ Board of Directors has the authority to ask me to leave the practice or game if I become a nuisance and/or out of control.
18) Understand that if my child misses practice during the week, he/she may be held out of the next game.
19) Understand it is my responsibility to make sure my child arrives at practice on time and is picked up on time from all practices and games.
20) Be responsible and help to keep our practice and playing fields clean.
21) Be responsible for completing at least 8 hours of volunteer time, or waiving and paying a $200 parent volunteer fee. Failure to show up for assigned volunteer time or failure to pay the fee, I understand my child may not participate on the game day following the no-show occurrence

22) Assist the Napa Saints Association and Board Members to implement and enforce the Parents’ Code of Conduct. I understand if I do not abide by the above Code of Conduct I may be asked to leave the practice/game.
